Description & Requirements Job Description
Employment Duration: 3 months (w/ potential for extension) Under the supervision of a clinical leader, guided by the policies and procedures of Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with clinic leaders, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in multiple Cancer Center ambulatory group practices. This position supports various cost centers within the Cancer Center across multiple campuses and satellite offices. Responsibilities include a variety of patient-focused clinical and administrative tasks in support of specialty care services. The incumbent is expected to learn and assist in all Cancer Center specialty practices. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: - Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Medical Assistant - Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations. - Current American Heart Association CPR Certification. Preferred Qualifications: - Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program, or an equivalent combination of two years of training and experience. - Experience with insurance verification, medical record data abstraction, or patient financial services. - Bilingual or multilingual capability (Spanish, Cantonese, or Russian). - Experience working in an ambulatory medical setting.
