Job Description

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Extender for a pediatric clinic supporting McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.

Job Details:

    Full Time Opportunity
  • Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • No nights, weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities
  • Full-time Benefits Offered
  • 11 paid Federal Holidays per year

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience within the last 3 years working within their scope of practice. with demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and patient education, coupled with the ability to practice with a high degree of autonomy.

    Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse and Advanced NP from any of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, or a U.S. commonwealth or territory.

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS

Job duties include but limited to:

  • Provide a full range of outcome-based provider services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF (e.g., supervise and provide general screening and medical care and examinations of patients for routine, acute and chronic conditions involving any and all organ systems; provide immunizations; diagnose, treat, and counsel patients as indicated).
  • Provide clinical guidance and mentorship to junior staff, provide and participate in in-service training to staff members.
  • Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or in consultation with a physician.
  • Promote preventive care and health maintenance including annual physicals, positive health behaviors and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
