Our global pharmaceutical client is seeking an Associate Creative Director - Copy to lead copy development across multiple cosmetic pharmaceutical brands, as well as the future launch of a new brand. This role is ideal for a creative professional with beauty/aesthetic pharmaceutical experience. The work is more engaging, conversational, and inspirational in tone compared to more conservative therapeutic areas, such as content developed for cardiologists. The Associate Creative Director will partner closely with Art, Editorial, Account, Creative Management, Traffic, and Project Management to develop high-quality creative work and maintain strong client relationships. Audiences include both patients/customers and healthcare professionals within the aesthetics space.

This title is split into 3 areas of focus:

• Hands On: 70%
• Management: 15%
• Leadership: 15%

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead copy development for print, video, and digital projects with minimal supervision.
• Partner with Art to develop creative concepts and multi-channel tactics.
• Write clear, powerful, error-free copy that is properly referenced and annotated.
• Develop brand messages and positioning and contribute to strategy discussions.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
• Provide constructive feedback, training, and mentoring to copywriters.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, market research, and MLR reviews as needed.
• Assign writers to projects based on ability and workload.
• Work with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track with deadlines and budgets.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support business growth with existing clients.
• Lead copywriters through concept development and execution.
• Present creative work internally and externally and co-present with Art partners.

Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of pharmaceutical advertising agency experience
• BA degree
• Strong aesthetic/beauty and creative copywriting skills: Portfolio Required
• Pharmaceutical category experience
• Proven creative concepting ability
• Digital and print experience
• Strong referencing and annotation skills
• Excellent copywriting skills across all media
• Strong marketing and strategic abilities
• Deep understanding of science and healthcare
• Strong understanding of MLR review processes and requirements
• Proven creative judgment and client contact experience
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Art and Account
• Excellent presentation skills
• Previous experience managing writers
