Position Title: Floater
Wage: $15.50 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm Looking for a hands-on production opportunity where attention to detail and consistency matter? QPS Employment Group is hiring a Machine Operator to set up and operate vacuum equipment while producing high-quality printed parts. You'll be involved in everything from machine operation and adjustments to counting, packing, inspecting, and shipping finished products and training is provided on the equipment and processes! Floater Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Receive job envelopes, materials, and instructions from the General Foreman or Plant Manager. - Set up and operate vacuum machines according to job specifications. - Run proof sheets and begin production runs, continually inspecting output for quality. - Make adjustments to machinery as needed to maintain quality standards. - Complete product run documentation, including reorder and count sheets. - Add part numbers and/or dates to printed substrates. - Punch parts and cut holes from die-cut materials. - Remove excess material from kiss-cut or plotter-cut printed parts. - Count finished parts and pack them in bags or boxes per customer order requirements. - Operate UPS shipping computer for outgoing shipments. - Perform final inspections following shipping inspector procedures. - Review job envelopes and work instructions for customer-specific shipping or packaging requirements. - Maintain cleanliness of the workstation, shipping area, and warehouse. - Take required measurements as outlined in procedures. Floater Requirements: - Previous experience operating vacuum machines or similar production equipment preferred. - Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency. - Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and documenting production. - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed. - Reliable attendance and punctuality.
