| Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The
Division of Student Affairs is responsible for providing various student support, services, and educational programs accessible to the university community. The Division supports Pirate success through environments that enhance student development, engagement, belonging, well-being, and career readiness. The Division strives to be a national leader in developing student experiences that positively transform lives and communities through work that makes students the focal point of our services, policies, and programming; creates a community where all feel safe, included, and welcomed; treats each other with dignity and civility, and recognizes every individual has rights, ideas, and beliefs; maintains open and honest interactions, and delivers high-quality programming, services, and resources through continuous reflection and improvement. |
| Primary Purpose of Position |
This position is primarily responsible for facilitating programs, services, and activities in support of the Division of Student Affairs' goals, objectives, and strategies. Reporting to the Associate Director of
SAAP and in collaboration with departmental leadership, the Coordinator administers assessment and research projects on Student Affairs' operations, programs, and services; coordinates departmental quality enhancement efforts, provides hands-on assistance with unit-level assessment, research, and program review activities; and develops training tools, and professional development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Divisional Quality Enhancement Initiatives (20%)
- Data Management, Analysis, and Reporting (35%)
- Development Initiatives (20%)
- Office Functions (10%)
- Performs Other Duties as Assigned (15%)

*Minimum of a Master's degree
*Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research design, administration, and interpretation.
*Demonstrated experience with research and assessment software such as
SPSS,
SAS, R,
STATA, Qualtrics, Power BI, etc. |

*Master's degree in area related to assessment and measurement, statistics, student affairs, higher education, education research or other research-oriented discipline related to assessment and evaluation, or social science.
*Strong team-oriented work style, and the ability to work cooperatively with various faculty, staff, and students throughout the campus community.
*Ability to understand mission alignment and broad planning frameworks, long-term goals, outcomes-based approaches, and key performance measures.
*Ability to work independently to accomplish assigned goals in a timely manner.
*Ability to work with detailed information with attention to accuracy. |
