This is an everyday, in-person and in-office position. Pay Range: $23.24 - $27.12/hour; depending on education, qualifications, experience Office location: Hennepin County Extension Office, Eden Prairie, MN Apply by: September 24, 2026 About the JobThis position is part of a county Extension office staff team vital to Extension's outreach mission of connecting local needs with University resources. This position supports the local 4-H, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Nutrition programs, as well as all Extension programs and activities. This position provides day-to-day support including customer service and administrative support for county Extension programs and activities. The position will report to the Regional Director, Central Region. The person in this position serves a vital role as the first point of contact for customers, visitors, and community members and performs general office duties as assigned Location and Work EnvironmentThis position is not remote and requires working in the office. Work is typically performed in an ordinary office environment and often involves working at the front desk, where the employee greets and assists visitors. As a result, the workday may include frequent interruptions. Physical activity is required and intermittent, such as walking through the facility or carrying files or materials. Driving on short errands or intermittently to meetings. Work may be performed at alternate sites, including public event spaces and county fairgrounds, to support events. Work ScheduleThe work schedule will be set with the supervisor upon hire. Preferred hours are, 9 am-2 pm, Monday - Friday. Occasional attendance of evening meetings may be required. Additional hours are required during county fair season, including evenings and weekends. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are typical for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. County Program Support (75%)
