The Strategic Division (SD) supports high-reliability organizations including Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, and the Department of Energy (DOE), among others. Our support across our client base is expanding rapidly and encompasses important services, such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, cost estimating, earned value management, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention.

The Surety Programs Group (SPG) supports government and private sector management of complex safety, security, and reliability programs for high consequence operations. SPG delivers industry-leading, innovative, and value-added services such as data analytics and visualization, threat analysis, risk management, modeling and simulation, program management, system engineering, independent evaluation, and High Consequence Event prevention to help our clients understand and mitigate mission risks spanning physical, cyber, and human domains.

SPG has an immediate need for a Supply Chain & Operations Manager to support inventory management, procurement, and operational coordination for the Innovation Department across company facilities in Greensburg, Pennsylvania; Bowie, Maryland; and Yuma, Arizona. This is a full time position based in Greensburg, PA.


Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Manage inventory supporting the Innovation Department at the Greensburg facility.
  • Monitor commonly used parts, materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Coordinate replenishment based on current and upcoming project needs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing information in the company's operations platform.
  • Help ensure engineering and development teams have the resources necessary to complete their work.

Procurement and Vendor Management

  • Work with the procurement office to purchase equipment related to aircraft builds, engineering projects, and prototype development.
  • Obtain quotes, conduct market research, coordinate approvals, and place purchase requests.
  • Maintain productive relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Track open orders and communicate delivery status to project teams.
  • Help resolve purchasing, availability, and delivery issues.
  • Identify alternate suppliers when necessary.

Multi-Site Coordination

  • Coordinate purchasing and material requirements with teams in Greensburg, Bowie, and Yuma.
  • Assist with inventory transfers between facilities when needed.
  • Maintain visibility into upcoming purchasing needs across locations.
  • Help identify potential shortages or delays before they affect production or testing.
  • Travel occasionally to Bowie and Yuma to support operational alignment and growth.

Operational Planning

  • Work with leadership and project teams to understand upcoming production and project requirements.
  • Help coordinate purchasing priorities with expected build schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement, inventory, and material-handling processes.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating future staffing and operational resource needs as production volume increases.

Hands-On Technical Support

When primary responsibilities and workload permit, provide occasional support with:

  • Prototype assembly and fabrication
  • Aircraft and mechanical assembly
  • Waterjet operation
  • General shop activities
  • Equipment preparation
  • Other technical projects supporting the Innovation Department

Testing Support

Provide occasional operational and field support for prototype and flight testing, which may include:

  • Preparing and organizing aircraft, tools, and equipment
  • Assisting with equipment loading and transportation
  • Supporting field setup and teardown
  • Helping maintain accountability of equipment during testing
  • Providing general assistance to engineering and flight-test personnel

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, or a related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory systems
  • Aviation experience, preferably with Unmanned Aerial Systems
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working around technical equipment

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) or similar certifications.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with teams at multiple locations
  • Willingness to provide occasional hands-on shop and field support
