Shift: 1st Shift (Monday to Friday 7:30am - 4pm) Job Description - Rebuild Services PM Rebuild Technician As a PM Rebuild Technician at Polar Semiconductor in Bloomington, MN, you are responsible for rebuilding components and conducting preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment to the highest quality following documented procedures and checklists. This includes improving the rebuild processes and PM tasks in the assigned area, while working in partnership with the Maintenance team members and area Equipment Engineers. PM Rebuild Technicians monitor PM schedules to ensure rebuild components are staged for upcoming PMs, track rebuild quality and failure rates, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to repair damaged rebuild components and complete functional tests. PM Rebuild Technician perform assigned PM tasks on assigned tool sets utilizing documented procedures. They are also required to increase rebuild and PM task efficiency through systematic problem solving and troubleshooting, quality workmanship, thoroughly document all rebuilds performed in established check sheets and tracking programs, and routine review of rebuild check sheets and procedures. PM Rebuild Technicians are required to keep the Rebuild Services Supervisor and Equipment Engineers updated on rebuild issues. Daily work reports will be completed outlining the rebuilds completed, issues found, and quality checks completed. Job Duties * Complete all required safety training and conduct all work in accordance with safety policies. * Troubleshoot, maintain and rebuild equipment components following document procedures and checklists. * Provide content for, and submit updates for controlled documentation (Rebuild procedures, check-sheets, work instructions, etc.) * Participate on the Emergency Response Team. * Safely perform work in a hazardous environment utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (including SCBA or respirator). * Engage in systematic troubleshooting to identify root-cause of failures. * Ensure rebuild component quality to minimize tool down-time and variability to increase equipment availability. * Document all rebuild activities in Equipment Management System. * Monitor PM schedules to ensure rebuilds are ready and staged for PM activities. * Perform documented PM activities on assigned equipment. * Disassemble, repair and reassemble equipment according to operating manuals/blueprints/schematics, etc. * Clearly document maintenance activities/work performed and complete pm checklists/procedures. * Cleaning and maintaining rebuild areas and equipment to ensure 5S standards are met. * Communicate issues effectively to the all team members. * Contribute to and communicate rebuild work completed daily to Maintenance Services Manager, Rebuild Services Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, and Equipment Engineers. * Communicate and interface with external rebuild component repair vendors and internal shipping department. Requirements * Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly. * Requires a High School degree or GED. * Meets the physical requirements for the Equipment Maintenance Technician, Equipment Maintenance Support Technician, & Equipment Engineering Position. Preferred * 1 - 2 years in mechanical assembly or quality control. * Strong mechanical and basic understanding of electronics. * Knowledge of test and calibration equipment (i.e. DMMs). Successful Candidate Description * PC skills and familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Demonstrated proficiency in trouble shooting and problem solving. * Ability to properly use common hand tools. * Ability to properly use personal protective equipment. * Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills. * Ability in multi-tasking projects. * Ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision. What We Offer Salary: The estimated base salary range for the position is $20-$25 per hour. The pay offered is based on many factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, job-related experience, skills and level of the position.
