DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports key administrative and program functions within the Vehicle Services Section. The role focuses on managing fleet activities, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with specialized duties. As an Administrative Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Fleet Documentation: Prepare and process vehicle intake and disposition paperwork in line with Department of General Services policies
- Data Management: Maintain and update fleet databases to ensure accuracy for reporting and special projects
- Vehicle Maintenance: Handle preventative maintenance tasks, including transporting vehicles for repairs and coordinating repair authorizations
- Accident Reporting: Gather, upload, and forward accident information and estimates to appropriate agencies for approval and recordkeeping
- Vehicle Turn-In: Manage delivery, exchange, and assignment paperwork for new and surplus vehicles, and resolve related discrepancies
- Program Liaison: Administer the Pennsylvania Turnpike EZ Pass transponder inventory, fuel card changes, and registration distribution for agency vehicles

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Mechanicsburg, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
