DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports office operations by handling data entry, processing documents, managing communication, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires attention to detail, consistent organization, and dependable follow-through. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Data Entry: Enter application and renewal information into required electronic systems
- Reception Support: Greet visitors, assist clients, and provide coverage for the reception area when needed
- Document Processing: Scan, sort, import, and track all correspondence, mail, and electronic submissions
- Communication Tasks: Answer phones, respond to messages, and forward inquiries to appropriate staff
- Record Maintenance: Update clerical logs, control documents, and tracking systems according to procedures
- Special Duties: Submit weekly EBT log to Administrative Officer and maintain physical cards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment - 37.5 hours
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Travel and overtime as needed.

- WORK CONDITIONS: Assigned duties are performed in a controlled office environment. In counties with District Offices, employees may be reassigned to different work sites due to operational needs. Reassignments will be made in compliance with contract language.
- Telework: This position may be eligible to telework part-time. Specific details of the telework schedule will be discussed during the interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Washington, PA. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy will be given to candidates who live within Washington County. If no eligible candidates who live within Washington County apply for this position candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
