Job Summary

The Associate Project Manager provides onsite project coordination and supports the Project Manager with daily field activities, task assignments, progress tracking, and issue resolution. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and field service personnel while ensuring site priorities and project requirements are addressed. The Associate Project Manager will coordinate field teams, communicate daily priorities, identify delays or out-of-scope activities, and provide timely updates to project management and internal stakeholders. This position is primarily onsite and requires regular attendance at construction sites in the Austin, TX area.

Job Responsibilities



  • Attend construction sites regularly and represent the project team in onsite coordination meetings.
  • Meet virtually with the Project Manager to review daily tasks, priorities, and project requirements.
  • Communicate daily assignments and priorities to field service representatives and onsite technicians.
  • Coordinate and organize field personnel to ensure site needs and project requirements are addressed.
  • Monitor site progress against milestone schedules and identify roadblocks or potential delays.
  • Serve as an escalation point for onsite issues and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, delays, out-of-scope activities, and other site opportunities.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for customers, contractors, and field personnel at the site.
  • Support the Project Manager with contract and claim management activities in accordance with applicable policies and contractual requirements.
  • Ensure project policies, directives, instructions, and guidelines are followed during onsite activities.
  • Track and support inventory and equipment needs associated with field activities.
  • Maintain clear communication between onsite personnel, the Project Manager, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support day-to-day project activities to help maintain schedules and meet customer and project requirements.


Job Requirements



  • 6+ months of experience in project coordination, field service, construction, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating or leading field technicians or service personnel.
  • Experience organizing daily field activities, assignments, and priorities.
  • Experience with inventory tracking and equipment coordination preferred.
  • Construction foreman or field leadership experience preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Understanding of UPS, STS, and PDU equipment commissioning preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with project managers, customers, contractors, and field personnel.
  • Ability to identify and escalate project delays, roadblocks, and out-of-scope activities.
  • Ability to work onsite at construction sites approximately 80% of the time.
  • Must be local to or able to regularly commute to construction sites in the Austin, TX area.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
