Job Summary

The Sustainability Analyst will support sustainability initiatives across organizational operations, beverage supply chain activities, media productions, and events. This role will focus on greenhouse gas accounting and reporting, sustainable packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and the implementation of sustainable event practices. The analyst will collect and validate data, develop insights and reports, support regulatory requirements, and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance sustainability goals. The ideal candidate combines strong carbon accounting knowledge with analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to translate technical sustainability requirements into practical actions.

Job Responsibilities



  • Gather, validate, and support calculations for organizational greenhouse gas emissions, including company operations, events, and media productions.
  • Apply carbon accounting methodologies, emission factors, and GHG Protocol principles consistently across reporting activities.
  • Support development and maintenance of an inventory management plan to improve reporting accuracy and assurance readiness.
  • Collaborate with Data and IT teams to improve sustainability data quality and automate data collection processes.
  • Validate packaging material data across products and SKUs to support Extended Producer Responsibility reporting.
  • Support EPR registrations, regulatory reports, and fee calculations for applicable U.S. state programs.
  • Monitor evolving packaging and sustainability regulations and research sustainable packaging alternatives.
  • Support initiatives focused on reducing packaging impacts and meeting sustainability targets.
  • Assist with sustainability initiatives for events and media productions, including energy efficiency, waste diversion, circular materials, logistics, and attendee travel.
  • Work with event managers and production agencies to track event-level sustainability KPIs, including waste diversion rates and emissions per attendee.
  • Capture lessons learned and support the development and implementation of new sustainability solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate sustainability data, reports, and regulatory submissions.
  • Communicate sustainability findings, requirements, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Job Requirements



  • 2+ years of experience in sustainability, carbon accounting, environmental compliance, or a related field.
  • Significant experience with carbon accounting and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.
  • Working knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations and applicable U.S. climate disclosure requirements.
  • Experience preparing regulatory, environmental, or sustainability data submissions preferred.
  • Experience implementing sustainability practices for events or media production preferred.
  • Knowledge of sustainable event frameworks, such as ISO 20121, preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and the ability to accurately analyze and manage large datasets.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical sustainability requirements and data to non-specialist audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with four days onsite in Santa Monica, CA.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
