The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for conducting testing procedures during manufacturing processes to ensure that products comply with quality standards. Communicates quality with other shifts and departments verbally and through written documents according to established procedures.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
Responsibilities
Compliance
  • Maintain documentation to meet HACCP, FSMA, SQF and customer requirements.
  • Monitor pre-op and operational sanitation compliance and record information/deviations as necessary, including notification of quality and production management.
  • Monitor production employees and processes for GMP compliance.
  • Monitor product quality attributes and assist production with troubleshooting.
Quality Control
  • Perform daily quality checks as required to ensure all company, customer, and regulatory specifications and requirements are met.
  • Inspection of raw materials, packaging components, in-process and finished product to defined specifications.
  • Complete documentation for out of specification material and work with production to correct.
  • Ensure implementation of quality assurance and other company standards throughout production, receiving and shipping.
  • Recognize and report quality issues through the appropriate channels as they arise.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2 years of related experience and/or training as a quality assurance technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite in addition to knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Food Safety Audit expectations and requirements preferred.
  • HACCP and GMP principal knowledge preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must lift, slide and/or move up to 100 pounds of material from pallet to pallet and lift up to 20 pounds 72 inches from the floor.
Work Environment:
  • Our facilities are in state-of-the-art climate-controlled buildings. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Compensation
The base pay range for this role is $20 - $22 per hour.
