Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Keeps safety and environment as number one priority and utilizes PPE when required.
  • Executes on washing panels utilizing panel washing equipment.
  • Performs land maintenance functions as related to vegetation including pulling weeds, mowing, raking, sweeping, and cleaning.
  • Operates landscaping equipment including tractors, sitting mowers, push mowers, week whackers, and other required land maintenance equipment.
  • Recognizes process improvements and communicates them to the Land Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Applies over the counter chemicals (e.g. Round Up, fertilizer, etc) as directed.
  • Applicator license credential preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite, email, expense reporting, and work order management systems.

  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations

  • Is a strong team player and willing to assist others when necessary and appropriate.

Education / Experience:

  • Possess high school diploma or GED.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work at solar power plants that includes some windy, dusty, and high heat conditions.
  • Driver's License preferred and/or ability to travel to site.
  • Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment
  • Requires use of wear personal protective safety equipment (respirators, safety glasses, hard hat, appropriate footwear, ear plugs, etc.)
  • May be required to work around rotating and energized equipment, hazardous materials and chemicals
  • Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Work overtime and non-standard working hours as required
  • Occasional travel in CA.

Compensation:

  • Commensurate with experience; competitive.

The total compensation package for this position also includes annual bonus. The benefits offered for this position are: medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, 401(k) eligibility, and paid time off (including vacation, sick leave time, and parental leave).
