We are seeking a Web & Content Operations Specialist to provide temporary support to a communications team during a transition period. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who can hit the ground running, work independently within established systems, and take ownership of digital content and web projects with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has strong, hands-on WordPress experience, including Elementor, along with excellent attention to detail, basic editorial skills, and experience managing digital content, assets, trackers, and project workflows.
Key Responsibilities

- Apply basic UX and site navigation best practices when creating and updating content.
- Review web copy for clarity, readability, grammar, and best practices; flag awkward or unclear content and collaborate with writers on revisions.
- Troubleshoot basic website and content issues independently and coordinate more complex development needs with external partners.
- Serve as a point of contact for an external web agency, managing requests, follow-up, and status tracking.
- Coordinate content integration across related websites and digital platforms as needed.
Digital Content & Asset Management
- Maintain communications trackers, databases, and content libraries with a high level of accuracy and consistency.
- Manage resources such as speaker bureaus, media tracking, story banks, and SharePoint content.
- Keep information organized, current, and easily accessible to stakeholders.
- Document progress, deadlines, and next steps in project management systems.
Content Coordination & Editorial Support
- Curate, organize, and prepare content for newsletters, roundups, and other recurring communications.
- Support monthly media, storytelling, and communications reporting.
- Coordinate with writers, communications team members, and stakeholders to gather and prepare content.
- Ensure content is accurate, organized, and ready for publication.
Project & Task Management
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.
- Track projects, tasks, owners, dependencies, and deadlines using Asana or a similar project management platform.
- Communicate project status and flag potential blockers early.
- Follow up with stakeholders and partners to keep work moving forward.
Key Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing and publishing content in WordPress.
- Elementor experience strongly preferred.
- Experience maintaining digital content platforms, databases, trackers, or content libraries.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for copy, content quality, and consistency.
- Basic understanding of UX, website navigation, and digital content best practices.
- Experience coordinating content for newsletters, communications, or similar recurring programs.
- Experience with Asana or another project management platform.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine web/content issues independently.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
What We're Looking For
The right person is proactive, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership. They don't wait to be told what to do-they identify what needs to happen and move the work forward. They should:
- Take initiative and follow through independently.
- Flag blockers and potential delays early.
- Manage their workload and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Know when to ask for guidance and when to simply get the work done.
- Demonstrate a track record of independently managing digital content and web projects.
Candidates should be prepared to demonstrate verifiable WordPress experience and examples of independently maintaining or managing digital content platforms.
