Job Description: The network engineer is responsible for supporting the network operation, security, maintenance and collaboration with other departments and external organizations to provide a secure and effective network solution. This would include responding to remote site circuit outages, router/switch/firewall issues, configuring and monitoring core to remote network equipment and similar tasks. The network engineer also monitors the circuits daily to check for anomalies that may cause outages. This role also assists in providing any network support for all programs. Requirements: 5+ Years of experience supporting large enterprise network operations 5+ Years of experience implementing, upgrading and maintaining products from the CISCO suite of tools Planning, designing and implementing local and wide area networks Monitoring network infrastructure Performing ongoing maintenance and problem resolution Use of SecureCRT, Cisco Command Line Interface, and OSI Excellent communication skills Ability to take on projects and work independently, meeting all deadlines CCNA, CCDA, CCNP Nice to Have: Individuals who have worked and have certification with CISCO products Individuals with long-term projects - this will be a long-term engagement Individuals who are able to understand project requirements quickly, work independently with checkpoints as needed. Not someone who will require a lot of hand-holding.
