Sales Development Representative

The Opportunity:

Join Booz Allen's Vellox Suite product team as a Sales Development Representative supporting our cyber AI product line. In this role, you'll help expand awareness, generate qualified pipeline, and accelerate adoption across federal and commercial markets.

As the first dedicated Sales Development Representative for Vellox Suite, you'll help build and refine the product's sales development motion. You'll engage prospective customers, existing customers, partners, and targeted buyer personas. You will conduct discovery and qualification conversations, support product trials and evaluations, and connect qualified opportunities with account executives and sales team members.

This role is ideal for a curious, motivated professional with strong communication skills and an interest in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and technology-enabled solutions. You'll work closely with product leadership, sales strategy, marketing, engineering, and account executives to refine messaging, improve processes, and turn market feedback into action. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You'll Work On:

• Execute inbound and outbound prospecting across federal and commercial markets, engaging net-new prospects, existing customers, partners, and technical, mission, executive, and product stakeholders.

• Conduct thoughtful outreach and follow-up through phone, email, social platforms, events, demonstrations, campaigns, trials, evaluations, and other sources of engagement.

• Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer needs, priorities, use cases, and buying considerations.

• Qualify opportunities, determine next steps, and transition qualified opportunities to account executives while maintaining ownership through follow-up and handoff.

• Partner with Marketing and Sales to refine messaging, positioning, target-account lists, outreach strategies, nurture sequences, and campaign execution.

• Help build and improve Vellox Suite sales development processes, including workflows, lead routing, qualification criteria, reporting, and go-to-market experiments.

• Maintain accurate CRM records and capture actionable prospect, customer, market, and competitive intelligence to inform product and sales teams.

• Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to stay current on Vellox Suite capabilities and clearly articulate its value to prospective customers.

• Represent Vellox Suite at events, product demonstrations, internal briefings, and customer engagements, as appropriate.

You Have:

• 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, customer engagement, or lead generation

• Experience conducting inbound or outbound prospecting and follow-up

• Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot

• Ability to conduct discovery conversations and communicate product value to various audiences

• Ability to manage multiple prospects, follow-up activities, and priorities

• Ability to write and deliver clear verbal and written outreach communications

• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

• Experience supporting a product team, technology company, or product-led sales or growth model

• Experience helping create and improve sales development processes for a new product motion

• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, markets, or common customer challenges

• Ability to build relationships quickly and operate effectively in ambiguity

• Ability to interpret lead quality, engagement signals, and conversion insights

• Ability to demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies
