Position Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate
Wage: $21.00-$24.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-2:00pm, During busy season 5:00am-3:00pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for a company in Oconomowoc, WI. This is a potential to hire opportunity on 1st shift. Shipping & Receiving Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Accurately enter, review, and verify information using various computer systems and software - Communicate with trucking companies, customers, and internal departments to coordinate pickups and deliveries - Locate, pick, pack, stage, and move materials using appropriate material-handling equipment - Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently - Maintain organized storage areas and ensure inventory is properly stored and accurately accounted for - Perform cycle counts and complete supporting documentation to maintain inventory accuracy - Assist with training new employees and provide appropriate feedback to the Warehouse Manager - Participate proactively in continuous improvement initiatives - Follow all established safety procedures and safe material-handling practices - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform other duties as assigned Shipping & Receiving Associate Requirements: - High school diploma or GED - Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment - Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory control, or material handling - Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts, powered pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment - Computer proficiency, including experience with Excel, Bartender, SAP Business One, or similar systems - Basic understanding of continuous improvement principles - Strong mechanical aptitude - Experience using a variety of hand tools - Working knowledge of cycle counting and inventory accuracy procedures - Strong organizational and communication skills - Work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment and regular activity on the shop floor - Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods - Frequently use hands to manipulate objects, tools, equipment, and controls - Regularly bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach - Ability to reach above shoulder level as needed - Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance - Ability to lift and move heavier materials, up to 100 pounds, with assistance and appropriate material-handling techniques - May move materials short distances within the facility - Close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision - May work in varying seasonal temperatures and may occasionally be exposed to manufacturing fumes or by-products - Must follow all facility PPE requirements, including safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves and clothing, and other protective equipment as required - Safety-toe or closed-toe footwear may be required based on facility safety policies - Some computer-based work may require periods of sitting and the ability to maintain close vision and adjust focus - Occasional travel may be required IND103 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
