Join the Colorado School of Public Health as the Human Resources & Faculty Affairs Senior Professional. This position is a key member of the school's Central Administration and provides specialized operational support across the faculty employment lifecycle. The position independently manages faculty recruitment and appointment processes and provides faculty-specific human resources administration for departments, centers, faculty, and school leadership. Responsibilities include advising hiring units on faculty recruitment and appointments; coordinating searches and onboarding; managing faculty employment transactions and position changes; maintaining faculty records and systems; and supporting key Faculty Affairs processes. The position interprets and applies university policies and procedures, works collaboratively with campus and school partners, and provides consistent, timely guidance to faculty and academic units. Key Responsibilities:
35% - Manage and coordinate faculty recruitment and appointment processes in partnership with hiring units and OFA leadership. Advise departments and centers throughout the search and hiring process, including supporting review of faculty job descriptions and postings, coordinating search committee processes, drafting letters of offer and appointment documentation, and supporting onboarding. Coordinate recruitment activities and documentation in university systems and ensure processes are completed in accordance with university requirements. 25% - Provide HR administration across the faculty employment lifecycle, including onboarding, faculty employment and position changes, transfers, separations, retirements, and related personnel actions. Manage faculty HR transactions and information in university systems and serve as a resource to faculty and academic units regarding faculty HR processes, policies, and requirements. 15% - Support key Faculty Affairs operations, including administrative coordination of the annual promotion and tenure process, annual faculty evaluations, faculty appointments, personnel records, reporting, and related systems and workflows. Maintain accurate information and tracking to support recurring Faculty Affairs processes and deadlines. 5% - Provide guidance and training to faculty, administrators, and school leaders on faculty recruitment, HR administration, and Faculty Affairs processes. Develop resources and contribute to process improvements that promote clear, consistent, and effective practices.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, higher education administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Two (2) years of professional experience in human resources, Faculty Affairs, Academic Affairs, faculty recruitment, or a closely related area.
Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing faculty recruitment and appointment processes in a higher education environment. Experience with faculty HR administration, including faculty employment actions, position management, or related HR processes. Experience working with Peoplesoft Human Capital Management, CU Careers, Smartsheet.

Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, university policies, and procedures related to employment and faculty administration. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Demonstrated experience in fostering a community that values a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines and provide clear, accurate guidance to faculty, administrators, and hiring units. Ability to independently manage multiple complex processes and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and diplomacy when handling confidential and sensitive faculty and personnel matters.
