Qualifications

Hotel Nikko San Francisco, voted a Best Place to Work by the San Francisco Business Times, is a luxury property located just off Union Square in Downtown San Francisco, with 532 guest rooms and suites and 22,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space. The hotel has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation.

Feintein's at the Nikko Showroom is looking for a Non-Exempt On-Call Showroom Host/Hostess. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position supports the guest experience through hosting, seating, and bussing duties.



The Feinstein's at the Nikko Showroom Host/Hostess may be involved in a variety of tasks to help deliver an exceptional guest experience. Tasks may include:

Pre-Performance Preparation and Guest Seating

* Process reservations through the ticketing platform (Vendini) and seating system (OpenTable).

* Set up the onsite box office and prepare for guest arrivals.

* Help prepare the showroom for patrons, including ensuring tables and seating areas are clean, properly arranged, and ready for service.

* Greet patrons, assist with coat check, answer questions, and manage the guest experience before seating.

* Seat patrons at pre-designated tables inside the showroom.

Guest Service During Performances and Events

* Maintain a visible and approachable presence during concerts and Feinstein's events.

* Assist patrons with questions and requests throughout their visit.

* Work with the Outlets Manager and service team to deliver a superior and well-paced service experience.

* Help set up post-performance guest experiences, including meet-and-greet opportunities.

Bussing and Showroom Upkeep

* Bus showroom tables before, during, and after performances, clearing used glassware, dishes, utensils, napkins, and other service items promptly and discreetly.

* Transport used service items to designated dishwashing or collection areas.

* Wipe down and reset tables between seatings and performances.

* Maintain the cleanliness and organization of tables, seating areas, and service stations.

* Assist the service team with replenishing table settings and service supplies as needed.

* Follow established sanitation and safety procedures, keeping aisles and guest pathways clear and promptly reporting spills or hazards.

Additional Duties

* Assist with managing waitlisted guests for sold-out shows.

* Sell tickets to walk-in guests before performances.

* Assist with showroom setup and breakdown as needed.

Required Qualifications:

* Experience in a high-end restaurant, nightclub, or premier retail location preferred.

* Knowledge of the arts and entertainment in the Bay Area and/or Broadway preferred.

* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

* Hotel experience strongly preferred.

* Ability to be resourceful, creative, and flexible.

* Ability to maintain excellent relationships with employees and managers.

* Ability to maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times.

* Ability to work collaboratively with the hosting and service teams.

* Ability to converse calmly with upset guests, managers, and coworkers in emotionally intense situations.

* Ability to work under pressure and complete assignments on time when faced with stressful, emergency, or unusual situations.

* Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

* Ability to stand, bend, reach, push, pull, twist, turn, and grasp while performing hosting and bussing duties.

* Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.

* Availability to work an on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on performance schedules and business needs.
