CNC/NC Machinist - 2nd Shift - Direct Hire Pay : $28 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Join a growing manufacturing team as a CNC/NC Machinist operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, NC surface grinders, and Prototrak machines in a clean, air-conditioned machine shop. This role is ideal for experienced machinists with strong setup, programming, and troubleshooting skills who are committed to producing high-quality precision parts.


Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Machinist trade school certification or equivalent machining training preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of CNC or NC machining experience
  • Proven ability to perform complete machine setups independently
  • Experience editing, troubleshooting, and proving out CNC programs
  • Proficient using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and vernier calipers
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and quality-control skills
  • Must provide personal machinist tools


Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
  • Frequently bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
  • Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing and machine shop environment


Job Duties

  • Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, and Prototrak machines
  • Review blueprints, work orders, and specifications to plan machining operations
  • Program machines, enter offsets, tool data, and reference points
  • Verify first-piece quality using precision measuring equipment
  • Monitor milling, drilling, turning, threading, cutting, and finishing operations
  • Troubleshoot machinery and adjust programs or setups as needed
  • Replace tooling, maintain production documentation, and follow quality standards
  • Adhere to all workplace safety policies and procedures
