Department Overview

Enterprise Support Services function is to provide complete operations and maintenance service support so that our physical facilities (buildings, equipment, machinery, systems and grounds) may operate at an optimum. Optimization of our facilities will promote and ensure safe, clean, and compatible working conditions for employees. Enterprise Support Services activities include building maintenance and repair, office space planning and associated move coordination, leasing administration (building/property), construction project management and Physical Security. This area also assists with corporate office moves, reconfiguration projects for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama and affiliate companies.

Primary Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for operational aspects of services associated with the processing of all inbound USPS mail, packages received from external carriers (FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc.). The incumbent is expected to perform these services using all technical means available to ensure the timely and accurate processing of these services. Incumbent is expected to be proficient in the use of the OPEX Extraction Desk, the OPEX FalconV Imaging/ Scanner, the MMS (Member Management System), the Kofax application, the Pitney Bowes SendSuite tracking software and the Workday Procurement/ Inventory Management system, all of which assist the function in fulfilling SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for internal business partners supported by the Incoming Mail team. The incumbent's technical proficiency and effectiveness at mastering the tools used in the sorting, extracting, prepping, processing, delivering and imaging is vital to ensuring that company-wide all mail and packages are processed and forwarded to the appropriate destination both accurately and timely. The incumbent will also prepare Case Management Welcome packets and Blue Advantage Welcome packets for the Health and Clinical Engagement area and deliver these packets to Outgoing Operations on a continuous basis. The incumbent will troubleshoot mail equipment hardware and software issues. The incumbent must perform work functions without close supervision. The incumbent will also handle special projects and be willing to work overtime as assigned by management. This position is considered an essential position due to the nature of the work which must be completed on-site.

Summary of Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using a PC and keyboard in a Windows environment, including using Word, Excel, tracking systems
  • Experience in a position requiring excellent time management skills, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, and paying close attention to detail and using independent judgement
  • Experience in a position building effective working relationships to accomplish goals and demonstrating effective interpersonal communication skills both oral and written
  • Mailroom and or Stocking/Warehousing experience in a production driven environment meeting production and accuracy goals is preferred
  • Willingness to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis is preferred
Work Location

The work schedule for this position will be full time onsite.
