The Role:

  • Reports to: Operations Manager
  • Pay Range: $25.00 - $27.00 an hour

About the Role


Odyssey Logistics is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain and support our facility, equipment, and infrastructure.



This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, solving problems, and working across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.



The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently to keep facility operations running safely and efficiently.



What You'll Do



Facility Maintenance & Repairs



  • Inspect, maintain, and repair buildings, grounds, and facility infrastructure, including doors, walls, flooring, ceilings, windows, and roofing systems.
  • Perform general maintenance throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, offices, breakrooms, and restrooms.
  • Complete painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, and other building improvement projects.



Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance



  • Troubleshoot and repair lighting, switches, outlets, motors, sensors, breakers, and other electrical components within the scope of training and authorization.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, pumps, mixers, and material-handling systems.
  • Troubleshoot automated and electromechanical equipment, including sensors, motor controls, PLCs, and related control systems.
  • Assist with equipment installations and facility upgrades while following proper safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).



Plumbing & HVAC



  • Diagnose and repair plumbing issues involving fixtures, water lines, valves, drains, leaks, and clogs.
  • Perform basic HVAC maintenance, inspections, filter replacements, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with qualified contractors for specialized or major repairs.



Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Reliability



  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
  • Identify equipment issues early and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency.


Safety & Vendor Coordination



  • Follow OSHA regulations and established facility safety procedures.
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and operationally efficient work environment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers to support repairs, maintenance, and facility improvements.
  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance requests and facility issues.



What You Bring:



Required Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on industrial, commercial, or facility maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform repairs using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification within the first 90 days of employment (training provided).


Preferred Qualifications



  • Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or a related field.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • HVAC, electrical, or mechatronics/automation/controls certification or license.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, sensors, motor controls, and automated equipment.

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe maintenance practices.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.

  • This is a safety-sensitive position.
  • Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and 5-panel drug screening, including marijuana, as a condition of employment.
