With deep technical expertise and a client-focused approach, the team provides strategic insights and hands-on support across key SALT areas-including income and franchise tax, sales and use tax, property tax, unclaimed property, and credits and incentives. Their goal is to help clients minimize risk, enhance compliance, and identify meaningful opportunities for tax savings. What You Will Do: Strategize optimal filing methods across diverse state tax landscapes Analyze and refine apportionment data to ensure accurate and compliant reporting Support client engagements by assisting with service delivery and ensuring smooth coordination throughout the project Research intricate tax issues and propose forward-thinking solutions Draft comprehensive technical memoranda to communicate findings and recommendations Provide audit support with documentation, analysis, and representation Prepare and review state income tax filings to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines Provide support and guidance to junior team members by sharing knowledge, answering questions, and helping them navigate tasks and processes Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field 2+ years of experience in public accounting tax or state & local tax experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field 2+ years of income tax experience Experience with OneSource Income Tax and Tax Provision software Current and valid CPA, EA, or CMI - State Income Tax (IPT) certification, or hold a JD or LLM. #LI-TPA, #LI-ATL, #LI-STL, #LI-CLTSP, #LI-DFW, #LI-HOU #LI-SS1 About Forvis Mazars, LLP Forvis Mazars, LLP is an independent member of Forvis Mazars Global, a leading global professional services network.
