Position Title: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (Cath Lab Tech)

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a busy, high-acuity cardiovascular team. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiac catheterization experience and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. This role supports physicians during diagnostic, interventional, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.

• Department: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Number of Procedure Rooms/Beds: 13
• Team Size: Approximately 30 staff members
• Staff Composition: Registered Nurses (RN) and Cardiovascular Technologists (CVT)
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed
• Night Shift: On-Call Coverage
• Patient Ratio: 1:3
• Equipment: Philips and Client systems
• Documentation Systems: Meditech and Mac Lab
• Call Requirements: After-hours, weekends, and major holidays

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Operate and maintain specialized cardiovascular imaging and monitoring equipment.
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor cases as assigned.
• Monitor patient hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms throughout procedures.
• Support structural heart and electrophysiology procedures.
• Ensure patient safety through adherence to infection control and radiation safety standards.
• Document procedures accurately in Meditech and Mac Lab systems.
• Participate in required call coverage and emergency procedures.

Must Have:

• One of the following credentials:
  
  
  
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)
  
  
  
  
• Recent Cath Lab experience

Certifications:

• BLS preferred
• ACLS preferred

• Left Heart Catheterization (LHC)
• Right Heart Catheterization (RHC)
• Peripheral Diagnostic and Interventional Procedures
• Structural Heart Procedures
• Electrophysiology (EP) Procedures

• Prior Cath Lab experience required
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Able to function independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Hospital-provided scrubs required
