We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Staff Software Engineer to join our engineering team and help shape the future of Dentrix Ascend. This role leads the technical design and delivery of key platform capabilities, building resilient, scalable solutions that stand up to imperfect data from external partners. The Staff Software Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor and technical leader on a Scrum team of 5 engineers, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will split your time roughly evenly between writing code and reviewing code and collaborating with product and engineering partners, drive incident response and postmortems, mentor fellow engineers, and embrace AI-DLC. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, thinks deeply before rushing to solutions, and takes ownership of their work. This position is remote within the United States up to 10% travel as needed. This position is not eligible for employment-based visa sponsorship. The posted range for this position is$150,000 - $165,000 which is the expected starting salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a bonus target not reflected in the range.
