Job Description
Scala Developer Must Have Technical/Functional Skills *
Strong proficiency in Scala and experience with sbt for build management. *
Solid understanding of functional programming principles and best practices. *
Experience with JSON serialization and deserialization frameworks such as Circe. *
Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). *
Knowledge of cloud authentication and authorization mechanisms, including: o

STS o
AssumeRole o
WebIdentity *
Experience integrating with AWS SDKs, particularly: o
Amazon S3 o
AWS STS *
Experience working with: o
Google BigQuery o
Google Dataflow *
Strong SQL skills and experience with PostgreSQL. *
Experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming using technologies such as: o
FS2 o
cats-effect *
Familiarity with distributed messaging platforms such as Google Pub/Sub. *
Strong testing experience, including unit, component, and integration testing. *
Experience troubleshooting distributed systems and cloud-native applications. *
Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows. Roles & Responsibilities *
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Scala. *
Build and enhance distributed systems that process large-scale data workloads. *
Develop integrations with cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). *
Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using cloud-native identity services. *
Build and maintain data pipelines supporting ingestion, transformation, and analytics. *
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions. *
Ensure system reliability, observability, performance, and operational excellence. *
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. *
Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers. *
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed, cloud-based environments. *
