Takes call. Schedules MRI exams, stocks procedure rooms. Acts as a resource person to Radiology staff and medical staff. Selects appropriate imaging techniques, calibrates console and peripheral hardware, as required. Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers for desk to work station. Inspects for quality and completeness of exam. Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera. Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies. Provides instruction and guidance in magnetic resonance imaging procedures and equipment/facilities usage to staff and/or students in training. Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA and compliance regulations. May assist in research and/or clinical subject scheduling. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise Qualifications: HS Diploma or GED required, associates degree preferred. Credentials: MRT (New Mexico licensure) required. R.T. (MR) (ARRT) or ARMRIT (ARMRIT) required. MRI Registered Technologists: MRT (New Mexico licensure) required. R.T. (MR) (ARRT) or ARMRIT (ARMRIT) required. Or: Registered Technologist Trainees/Apprentices: PMRT (Provisional NM licensure) required. R.T. (R) (ARRT) required.
