What makes this role important at Ipsos?

We are looking to hire a Public Opinion Polling Intern with a curious mindset and aptitude for tackling subjects and tasks with open-ended outcomes. The candidate will be expected to do independent desk research, work with generative AI, maintain complex databases, and support our Public Affairs practice on producing high-quality, public-facing survey research. The taskings will involve a mix of independent work as well as working very closely with multiple team members with diverse skillsets to deliver research products and enhance internal processes.

A great candidate will be a self-starter with strong work ethic, strong data interpretation and writing skills, flexibility to adapt to shifting requirements, and an ability to work within high tempo conditions.

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Identify relevant data and research sources

  • Compile and clean data, and work with complex databases

  • Integrate data into final client deliverables (e.g., annotated questionnaires, PowerPoint reports)

  • Support the development and fact-checking of analytic reports, and have the opportunity to learn about presenting research findings

End Date: August 14, 2026 (subject to student schedules)

This might be the job for you if you have:

  • Currently pursuing a BA or MA

  • Experience conducting independent research, particularly on politics, current events, public opinion or media polling.

  • Experience building databases

  • Demonstrated ability to use a variety of open-source research methods to identify emerging trends and key issues

  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team and to meet deadlines

  • Experience working within diverse teams, including members with data science, software engineering, and/or geospatial analysis skillsets

  • Excellent analysis, writing, and briefing skills

The hourly rate for this role is $20.00. Your final base rate will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
