Summary:
Occupational Therapist provides patient care assessment and treatment, program development, and team leadership when assigned. Responsible for mentoring Therapists, Assistants, Technicians, and Students. Plan, organize, and conduct occupational therapy programs in hospital settings to help rehabilitate those impaired because of illness, injury or psychological or developmental problems. Collaborates with other healthcare team members and physicians in a multi-disciplinary fashion to deliver the highest quality of care. Participates in CQI activities. Facilitates the provision of excellent customer service.

Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's or Doctorate's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
LICENSURE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION
- Current NC Board of Occupational Therapy license
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
- Analytical abilities to delegate personnel, problem solve with positive solutions. Good interpersonal and communication skills required to facilitate interactions with stated customers and staff members.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, temperature changes and occasional noxious odors. Stressful work periods occasionally encountered.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
- Standing for most of the day lifting/assisting patients with transfers, bed mobility and ambulation as well as their exercise programs.
