About the Department
The Department of History and Political Science at Perimeter College is committed to enlivening history and political science and wholly engaging our students in the learning process. Perimeter College political science classes examine human behavior through data, political systems, institutions and behaviors. Our department believes, as did Aristotle, that the study of politics (and history) are essential to achieving a stable and orderly society-one that develops, advances and improves our lives.
Position Description
Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in POLITICAL SCIENCE who will play a key role in educating and supporting students
Required Experience
None Specified.
Required Education
To qualify to teach POLITICAL SCIENCE, applicants MUST have:

A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in courses designated as Political Science, and not Public Administration or International Relations.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Teaching Experience is Preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to teach POLITICAL SCIENCE courses on the collegiate level.
  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
  • Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology

Work Hours
Classes at Perimeter College are offered morning, afternoon and evening including weekends.
