Responsibilities

MV Transportation is seeking aMobile Technology Maintenance Technician for the installation and maintenance of vehicle technology equipment. This includes installation and maintenance of various electronic equipment to include, but not limited to, Mobileye, Drive Cam, ZONAR, Smart Drive and other equipment as required in various size transit buses and sedans. This requires supervision of all maintenance staff performing installation and maintenance of equipment during their assigned shift. Is responsible to ensure that installation is per all equipment and bus mfg. recommendations. Requires accurate records are kept for all equipment being installed as well as tracking technician work orders and hours appropriately. The Mobile Technology Maintenance Technician will work under the direction of Maintenance Manager, Director of Maintenance and Director of Safety. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of vehicle electrical systems for light/medium-duty vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

    Position requires working on various shifts and weekends
  • Install and maintain various electroni equipment such as Mobileye, Drive Cam, ZONAR, Smart Drive and other equipment as required for division's transit buses and sedans.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenane Manager, Director of Maintenance and Director of Safety to coordinate scheduling and installation of equipment at divisions.
  • Maintains close communications with Operations for scheduling of buses for installation equipment
  • Requires good communication skills, interaction with equipment, bus mfg. and clients.
  • Reviews work orders for accuracy, ensures installation schedules are met with prioritization, safety, quality and efficiency foremost. Estimates productivity times and establishes or adjusts shift employees' production schedules.
  • Analyze and assist in the resolution of work-related problems and diagnosis of malfunctions with machinery and equipment during shift.


Qualifications

Talent Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) to five (5) to years of experience or training in repair and preventive maintenance of automotive vehicles and electrical systems.
  • ASE certified to meet job classification. If not certified, must be willing to get certified.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and MS Outlook.
  • Must possess a Motor Vehicle Inspection License.
