JOB SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Peer Mentor for Project S.T.A.G.E. (Students Transitioning to Academics and Gainful Employment) responsible for relating to students with disabilities from diverse backgrounds. Guides and supports students in areas like time management, wellness, and academic success, helps student navigate the college environment with confidence. Provides individualized guidance and ongoing feedback and facilitates individual mentoring sessions with assigned mentees. Encourages positive life skills such as proper nutrition, fitness, money management, stress management, etc. Mentoring efforts will be focused on the following topics and skill sets: Adjusting to the college environment Time Management and Study Skills, College Clubs, Events, Resources, etc. Safety, Health and Wellness, Independence and appropriate college behavior.
