Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:

About the Job:

Provide support for EHS Manager and leadership to assure that the assigned locations and employee populations are knowledgeable and compliant in all applicable areas of Environmental Health and Safety. This position will assist with championing day to day projects, activities, company goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Support for policies and programs for local compliance with appliable local, regional and federal EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.) for assigned locations and groups.
  • Support local policies and programs for safe work practices and procedures to assigned work locations.
  • Support EHS training necessary for EHS compliance.
  • Support Regulatory event reporting (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Participates in EHS policy and regulation required reviews and audits of assigned locations.
  • Ensures systems are in place for environmental testing and records keeping requirements.
  • Ensures locations SDS management system meets local/state/national regulations.
  • Serves as EHS support for workers compensation services.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years safety related experience is desired.
  • Associates degree in EHS or related Science field is desired.
  • Experience in EHS functions or activities preferred.
  • Strong environmental health experience preferred.

Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong business acumen.
  • Ability to manage multi projects at one time.
  • Strong excel, adobe acrobat skills
  • Perform all task and processes assigned
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work as a collaborative team member

Special Requirements: Must be able to work any hours required to execute job requirements and duties. Availability to be on-call for emergencies and coverage as necessary.
