A manufacturer in the Valley is looking for a VP Finance to join their team. The VP Finance will be responsible for KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, reviewing the general ledger, customer pricing, and tax in addition to overseeing operational and cost accounting. What do you need for the VP Finance role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 20+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Must have manufacturing experience
  • Advanced Excel
What will you do in this VP Finance role?
  • Oversee all payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, budgetary control activities, asset management and other financial activities.
  • Establish or recommend to CEO major corporate strategies, objectives, and policies for the company.
  • Create KPIs and track goals.
  • Prepare company and department budgets and profit reports.
  • Recommend modifications to existing corporate programs.
  • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Direct preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Review contracts and financial agreements entered into by the company.
  • Review general ledger and analyze, investigate, and rectify discrepancies.
  • Review and approve customer pricing based on thorough analysis of customer lifetime profitability, relationship potential, and business risk factors.
  • Responsible for risk management activities for the company.
  • Provide leadership and support to the accounting team (Controller, Staff Accountants, Cost Accountants, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable staff) and ensure completion of performance appraisals, necessary employee discipline and timely employee problem resolution.
  • Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures and GAAP and ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations.
  • Manage financial reviews and tax preparations alongside the company's Accountants.
  • Prepare and/or review reports required by regulatory agencies and create regular and ad-hoc reports for management.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Support responsibilities for sustainability initiatives.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
