Summary:
This Analyst position is in the Interstate Certificate group that supports natural gas facilities principally by preparing certificate filings and various reports to be filed with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). Performs analytical work related to FERC compliance. Works closely with other groups such as business development, engineering and construction, environmental, right-of-way, operations and legal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of FERC regulations and compliance
  • Prepare and maintain certificate filings with FERC
  • Prepare and file weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports with FERC
  • Other miscellaneous FERC and state filings as required
  • Research FERC filings, orders and policies
  • Communicate with other groups in the partnership to develop relationships and coordinate efforts

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience and demonstrated equivalent competency may supplant the Bachelor's degree
  • Exhibit strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to coordinate with and support both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and sense of urgency


Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:



  • The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
