Physical Therapist Assistant, Extended Care

Job Overview:

The Physical Therapist Assistant treats sub-acute long term patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant carries out the treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist and reports changes in patient status to the PT.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited associate degree program for Physical Therapy Assistants

Preferred:

• 1 year experience in sub acute long term physical therapy care
  • New graduates welcome
• Experience in documenting clinical notes in electronic medical records

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• NJ Physical Therapy Assistant License

Scheduling Requirements:

• Shift working, 8:30am-4:30pm
• Monday-Friday; weekends as needed
• FT

Essential Functions:

• Effectively communicate with patients and the physical therapy team
• Ensure excellence in patient safety and experience
