Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant -Pediatric Infectious Disease

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday through Friday in between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Potential for some weekends. No holidays or call.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our ambulatory and/or inpatient care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:



  • Provide ambulatory and/or inpatient consultative services for the diagnosis and management of complex infectious diseases and unexplained febrile illnesses.
  • Evaluate and manage infectious disease pediatric patients.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple infectious disease physicians and specialty services in AFCH


Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program (Pediatric Primary Care, Pediatric Acute Care or Family Practice preferred)

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*:



  • Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Primary Care Pediatrcs, Acute Care Pediatrics or Family.


If Physician Assistant*:



  • Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
  • Active PA board certification


All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.

*Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
