The Epic Cogito Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for the overall success of analytics within the Epic environment and for coordinating analytics tasks across all Epic applications.

The manager has strong communication skills, experience with project management, provides direction and leadership to staff, and ensures analytic projects align with system goals.

The manager is a key participant in the organization's analytics strategy, delivering information to the enterprise through analytics and data visualization platforms.

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology required.

Minimum of 3 years in a management, supervisory or lead position preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Care environment preferred.

Experience with project management and its methodologies and best practices.

Experience with business intelligence tools: Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, PowerBI), SAP Business Objects or Crystal Reports.

Experience programming in R, SAS, Python, SQL or equivalent programming languages.

Experience with Business Intelligence development lifecycle.

Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification and methodology development.

Experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of business intelligence and database solutions, systems, or products.

Experience with implementing third-party applications and supporting enterprise applications.

Experience working closely with vendors, reviewing contracts, and vendor management.

The ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both a technical and user-friendly language.

Ability to apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required. Able to exercise independent judgment and take action.

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.

Excellent understanding of the organizations goals and objectives.

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification-

Epic Clarity, Radar, Workbench, and/ or Star Data warehouse certification(s) a plus.

Epic Cogito Project Manager certification required within 6 months of hire.
