Gateway Foundation is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide comprehensive substance use and mental health treatment services at our residential community corrections treatment center in Humble, TX, serving adult male and female clients.

Location: Atascocita 2310 Atascocita Rd, Humble, TX 77396

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Overview: In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment and discharge plans, and provide individual and group counseling to clients with dual diagnoses, social, or mental health issues. You will also serve as a clinical resource for other counselors, offering guidance, supervision, and support in resolving complex cases. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop and facilitate in-service training and continuing education programs for treatment staff. In the absence of a supervisor, you may also oversee counseling operations.

The Counselor III is responsible for:

• Completes comprehensive assessments and treatment planning and provides counseling services to clients.
• Develops and implements complex treatment and discharge plans for clients with dual diagnoses, social or mental health issues.
• Serves as professional resource to others in resolving complex case problems and may provide clinical supervision as needed.
• Develops and may facilitate trainings for treatment staff.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing counselors in absence of supervisor.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field required.
• Current professional license in the state of Texas required as aLPC, LCSW, LMSW OR LPC-A
• At least 4 years clinical experience desired, with concurrent experience in the treatment of substance abuse and dual-diagnoses highly preferred.
• Previous work experience in a corrections environment a plus.
• Must be able to obtain security clearance as required by Harris County.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time, to monitor and interact with clients
• Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to record, proofread and check documents and files for accuracy, to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, read
• Ability to use a keyboard and video display terminal to receive, retrieve, and/or audit information and data
• Ability to respond to telephones, and to hear and detect alarms and unusual noises

Work Environment:

• Working with our adult nonviolent clients in a controlled and structured setting for residential treatment

Compensation (based on experience and credentials):

• $60,000 - $63,000 on an annual basis
• Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
