Ag Inventory Manager - Supply Chain

Description

This individual will efficiently manage all aspects of the agriculture inventory planning, ordering, and logistical strategy, as well as coordinate activities and ensure cooperation with all other departments of the dealerships of the region to best serve the needs of the customer and employees. The expectation is to have a well-run, profitable, agricultural products.

Specific Duties Include:



  • Monitor early order programs (EOP), allocations, reordering strategy and communicate with internal management/leadership to strategize ordering based on sales forecasts and trends.
  • Facilitate monthly inventory calls with the regions to determine the best strategy for the agriculture side of the business.
  • Possesses a strong product knowledge and willingness to learn new and existing models to advise field management on how equipment should come into inventory.
  • Have a strong understanding on market share and work with management to help obtain those goals.
  • Track aged and under-utilized machines and advise on plans to market aged inventory.
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow-up.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Conduct self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company/location driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.


Job Requirements:



  • Previous supervisory/management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or rental management or related experience
  • Excellent understanding of the retail and rental market


  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills


  • College degree or applicable experience preferred
