Job Summary

Supports Kewaunee Project activities assigned to the Site Quality Assurance organization, including: Internal and supplier oversight Audits and Assessments; QA implementing procedure maintenance; procurement support; Inspection Planning; QC Inspection/Receipt Inspection; Corrective Action Program implementation

Job Duties/Tasks/Responsibilities



  • Performs independent QA assessments/audits to ensure project project QA plans are properly executed and evaluates the effectiveness of controls delineated in these plans
  • Performs supplier oversight for on-site work activities
  • Provides support, as requested, for the development, review, revision and approval of quality-related procedures
  • Reviews procurement documents to ensure appropriate quality controls are specified
  • Plans and performs Quality Control inspections (e.g., Receipt Inspection)
  • Performs or independently reviews CAP elements/products, including cause analyses, plan development and corrective action verification/validation
  • Attains/Maintains knowledge/qualifications on quality methods and techniques; this includes knowledge in 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 20 Appendix G, 10 CFR Part 61.55 and 61.56, 10 CFR Part 71 Subpart H and 10 CFR Part 72 Subpart G
  • Supports management and staff with QA services, as requested
  • Ensures Project staff understand quality requirements and how these requirements apply to their work
  • Develops and provides training on QA-related topics and assists in the resolution of quality-related problems

Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions



  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; handle, grip and reach below shoulder
  • Ability to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend/stoop, crouch and kneel
  • Ability to effectively communicate; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
  • Ability to see close and distance; basic colors/shades
  • Ability to work inside an office, outside and in extreme temperatures
  • Ability to work on slippery/uneven walking surfaces
  • Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public
  • Ability to operate equipment, drive a vehicle and travel overnight
  • Ability to perform under deadline pressure
