Casual Hire positions are part-time/temporary positions that are available to students and outside candidates. These positions provide administrative, clerical, or other general support to administrators, and staff of Gateway Technical College.
Work is performed in an office setting and involves typing, data entry, customer services, attention to detail, and general office support.
Casual Hires are under the supervision on the department and/or area that has hired them.

- Each department/area will require specific skills and abilities. It is the responsibility of the employee to review and discuss the requirements of the position for which they are applying.

- Each department/area may have conditions specific to its position. Employees are expected to review requirements of each position and supply required or needed documents, credentials, or exams to their supervisor.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available. International Students seeking employment must adhere to the rules of the F-1 or M-1 visa in order to work on campus.
DIVISION/LOCATION: Kenosha Campus Hours: Up to 20 hours per week FLSA: Non-Exempt SALARY: $15.00
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Age 16 or older.
- Employment eligibility for the United States.
- Gateway does not sponsor employment based visas.
- International Students:
- Must be a current student (enrolled) at Gateway Technical College
- Must have a F-1 or M-1 Visa
- Once a job offer has been obtained:
- Supervisor will provide details of employment to HR and request an Intent Letter
- International Student will obtain a Social Security Number for tax purposes
