Survey Technician

Huitt-Zollars' Dallas, Texas office has a full-time Survey Technician opportunity. Responsibilities:

• Calculate and prepare construction staking data for field crews
• Verify the accuracy of field survey data including measurements and calculations conducted on survey projects
• Review and process the results of field survey data including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land features and boundaries
• Ensure schedules and productivity objectives set by a supervisor for preparation of survey plats and drawings are achieved
• Perform quality control checks of field and office work
• Search public records to obtain information about property boundaries and areas to be surveyed
• Prepare metes and bounds descriptions of property boundary surveys for use in deeds, easements or other legal documents
• Produce CAD drawings to inlcude Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Right of Way maps, and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys in Civil 3D

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Strong listening skils
• Ability to take direction and work independently
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D required
• Knowledge of Micro-Station and Trimble Business Center a plus
• Proven work history, strong work ethic, team player attitude
• Knowledge of general field and office computer software and hardware relevant to land surveyor field and office technician
• Knowledge of Land Surveying Techniques, Principles & Standards
