About the Job

CMG Ventures is seeking a Director of Sales to join our executive team and support five of our dynamic divisions: Best Tents & Events, Best Rent-All, Best by TCS, TCS, and Piedmont Portable. Location: This position will be based in our offices, but its responsibilities require presence at both Durham, NC, and Burlington, NC.

Job Responsibilities:

Proactive Rental Revenue Generation:

  • Develop and maintain a network to identify new customer leads across all divisions.
  • Engage with past, existing, and prospective customers to recommend relevant products and services.
  • Create and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Attend industry events to stay current with best practices and emerging trends.
  • Upsell services and products across various divisions to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to identify business growth opportunities.

Account Management:

  • Maintain detailed records of sales activities, orders, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure smooth communication between sales, operations, and billing departments.
  • Track sales targets, analyze market potential, and report forecasts to leadership.
  • Relay client feedback to internal teams for continuous product and service improvement.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Requires high interaction with both internal and external stakeholders across all CMG Ventures divisions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining professionalism.
  • Alternative night and weekend work schedules may be required to meet goals and serve clients.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, or stoop for up to 8-12 hours a day.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • Highly entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to take initiative and drive business growth across multiple divisions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the rental event or related industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that achieve revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated experience with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar business operating systems.
  • Extensive experience in sales, preferably in rental events or related industries.
  • Strong CRM and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver presentations and tailor messaging to audience needs.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual and B2B experience are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Benefits & Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $90,000, with a competitive commission structure based on performance and revenue generation.

The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant experience.
