Job Summary Are you ready to join our talented, dynamic, student-centered team to make an impact? Are you passionate about student success? We are excited and hiring for two (2) Student Service Specialist roles. The Student Services Specialist position provides one-stop student support services for the college in the areas of admissions, records, and registration. The person hired for this role will serve a diverse population of students, staff, faculty, and community members in all areas of enrollment services. These positions are at two different campuses. Washington Main Campus and the Central City Campus. Location will be based on business needs. Two Positions Available: Regular position - Clock Program at Central City campus: 1245 East Buckeye Road Phoenix, AZ. 85034 Short-term position - Front Desk at Washington campus: 108 North 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ. 85034 - This position is a short-term assignment with an expected job end date of 06/30/2025 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of MCCCD. Essential Functions 40% - Assist credit, non-credit, and clock new and continuing students in person, over the phone, and via email in all enrollment services functions and processes, including but not limited to admissions, placement testing, registration, academic advisement, community education, and financial aid; reviews and determines residency; processes lawful presence and ID authentication documentation; student ID Card Processing/Tracking and follow-up; MEID/password reactivation process; scans and records documents in Laserfiche, Ul8, and Special Admissions applications. 20% - provides support to the call center and serves as the primary front counter/welcome desk functions, providing a high level of customer service and triaging student needs utilizing multiple systems and software programs. Assist all visitors, college employees, and students with general questions, directions, and events on campus. 15% - Processes and evaluates transcripts, determines equivalencies of transfer credit responds to enrollment verification requests; program plan changes; class permissions; responds to emails and online requests; processes documents/requests using Dynamic Forms. 15% - Assists with special enrollment for Dual Enrollment, ACE, Gecko GearUp, Gate Way Early College High School, etc. Answer to incoming calls and chats maintains and updates information in CRM/Customer Relationship. 10% - Monitor reports related to enrollment in order to comply with district and government requirements. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, and one (1) year full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. OR High School Diploma/GED and three (3) years full-time of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs. Desired Qualifications A. Experience working in a One-Stop Enrollment Services and/or Admissions & Records Office. B. One (1) or more years' experience working with software applications such as Peoplesoft (Student Information System), Dynamic Forms, Microsoft Office, Google forms/Google Suite, phone systems, etc. C. Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-tasking and team-oriented environment. D. One (1) or more years' experience providing customer service (i.e. in person, over the phone, text or via email). E. Experience working with state or federal regulations, policies, and procedures as it relates to student services in a higher education setting. F. Experience working with individuals and/or groups from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
