DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our buildings and structures by performing tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding, painting, and HVAC work. You will perform this skilled work at the journeyman level exercising technical independence in determining work methods and procedures. You will ensure the safety of the outdoor grounds by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, parking areas, and driveways. In addition, you will maintain the lawn, trees, and shrubs.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment (37.5 hours per week)
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: This position does not offer telework.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
