Business Development Manager - Greenfield Services

Summary:
Reporting to the Cloud Practice, Sr. Director and Business Development Lead, the Greenfield Services Business Development Manager will primarily be responsible for establishing and maintaining an AWS services capability comprising a portfolio of "go-to" small business service teaming partners. The role will shape and deliver on a strategy to become more deeply embedded in customers' AWS requirements where either partner may augment the other's offering (resell or services) in a mutually beneficial manner for new and existing customers of either party. Specifically, the role is focused on building profitable business relationships with companies who have little or no existing engagement with AWS and developing them as a delivery channel for the full range of AWS offerings and progressing these Greenfield companies within the AWS partner ecosystem.


Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Required Certifications - AWS Business and Technical Accreditation, AWS Cloud Practitioner certification. May be achieved after hire.
  • Track, document and report business development efforts. Details to be shared with, Four Points senior management, Four Points sales teams, submitted to AWS via its opportunity tracking system and supplied as content for case studies and partner engagement reports.
  • Regular engagement with customers and partners
  • In person meetings and travel associated with customer visits and industry conferences and events.
  • Candidate will acknowledge and participate in annual ethics training provided by Four Points.
  • Candidate will review, acknowledge, and participate in any US government and regulatory security trainings periodically as required in their role.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to engage customers with strong communication skills for working directly with customers and partners
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and share back with appropriate technical resources for solutioning
  • Ability to work closely with AWS account teams, partners and internal teams bridging the gap to help identify and drive opportunities.
  • Ability to understand basic contract terms and conditions related to contracting for cloud and specific small business regulations and requirements in the US Federal and Higher Education markets.
  • Ability to learn and understand basic cloud technology concepts as it relates to customer's utilization of cloud
  • Ability to obtain AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, within 90 days of employment, if not certified upon hire, and maintain certification for term of employment- recertifying when needed.



Education/Experience:

  • Associate degree in related field and/or
  • 3+ years of experience and/or training, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
  • Training and experience in cloud offerings, contracts management, and program management, highly desirable.

Four Points maintains an accessible office with working and reservable meeting space however this position is remote with occasional mandatory in person team and company meetings.
