Manufacturing Assembler DATE: January 2025
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt DEPT: Manufacturing LOC: North Carolina POSITION SUMMARY : The Assembler reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for the assembly of components according to the drawings and specifications in a timely manner to meet customer requirements; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-5 years of prior Aviation Manufacturing/Assembly experience required and experience in machine, manufacture, assembly of aircraft parts and components, and sheet metal shop practices of which five (5) years shall be related to the manufacture, modification, fabrication and installation of parts. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have the ability to interact with and enter data into spreadsheet software. Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team environment and self-direct work. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; walk, talk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to travel occasionally. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is very loud but falls within acceptable limits of OSHA guidelines.
