SAP Process Analyst II - Sales and Service

***This is a hybrid position and located in our SICK, West Bloomington MN office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position has primary responsibility for supporting key users, process/requirement analysis, rollout, testing, and training activities. Depending on skill level and demand, it includes as well customizing and development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service and Support
    1. Able to support the business in describing business requirements at a technical level without losing business need so global team can collaborate on options.
    2. Own and rectify medium to complex incidents within SAP applications of respective SAP module(s) without escalation by providing known working solutions.
    3. Prioritize, troubleshoot and resolve global tickets based on business impact through global ticketing tool. Able to assist and/or take over global tickets.
    4. Escalate complex incidents.
    5. Possess deep specialized knowledge in own functional area (or how they relate to the business).
    6. Performs problem solving in terms of ITSM by foreseeing issues and seeking to resolve them before they happen.
    7. Is able to support other functional areas with some assistance through basic understanding of how respective SAP module(s) integrate.
    8. Performs root cause analysis, ABAP, reading/debugging and interface support.
    9. Build queries independently.
  • Project
    1. Participate in SAP projects (i.e. roll outs) and complete work tasks assigned with limited or no support.
    2. Involvement in projects that bring third party solutions and interfaces into the business efficiency gains to the business.
    3. Easily able to understand and gather requirements from the business and translate functional requirements into technical requirements, presenting options and contributes to decision making with long-term goals in mind.
    4. Take over tasks from headquarters development team to configure or realize new functionalities.
  • Documentation and Training
    1. Extend or create documents for use in training and support for users in all facets of the day to day operational activities.
    2. Create and maintain a repository of documentation created to help capture knowledge for improve response times.
    3. Train key users on new template functionalities in cross-functional departments as needed.
  • Process
    1. Proactive in identifying local process optimizations and proposes improvements where feasible to avoid future occurrences as a global solution.
    2. Fully grasp why things are structured a certain way to solve a certain set of problems in time.
    3. Easily able to share and talk to regional business processes.
  • Collaboration/Communication
    1. Take on global priorities and reflect back to the business to manage expectations as to what is possible and escalates as required.
    2. Discern technical requirements and explain the real business need and impact to the region.
    3. Conduct onboarding in respective functional area.
    4. Build test scenarios for new functionalities in cross-functional areas and conducts testing in with limited or no support.
    5. Clearly define process for testing new functionalities and document findings in detail.
  • Meeting
    1. Enhance the respective SAP module(s) community among the Key-Users by holding regular key-user meetings, track topics, etc. seeking for automation and ongoing efficiency gains.
    2. Work as an extension of the SICK global IT headquarter departments and specifically with the functional teams within SICK AG in the respective SAP module(s) support teams.
    3. Proactive participant in the Process User Group of respective SAP module(s).
    4. Serve as a regional multiplier in the Process User Group of respective SAP module(s)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent degree or Bachelor's degree with extensive module knowledge and process experience.
  • Master's degree highly preferred.
  • 5-7+ years experience as Business Process Consultant or similar role.

Other Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable on business processes from the functional area and how to mitigate challenges in supporting one global ERP system and its processes.
  • Can demonstrate a deeper understanding of the context behind SICKs business drivers.
  • Experience working within an SAP global S/4 Hana environment and working with ABAP debugging a must.
  • Good analytical, logical problem solving skills with the ability to understand new tasks quickly.
  • Able to work with a SICK global IT headquarter departments and with functional teams with SICK AG.
  • Experience prioritizing, trouble shooting and resolving global tickets based on business impact through global ticketing tool.
  • Ability to work alone and as a team member.
  • Good interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
  • Good collaboration with the business and colleagues verbally, over the phone and in writing (email).
  • Prior project management experience preferred.
  • Understands multi-perspective.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
  • Legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Able and willing to work alternative schedules including weekend, and on-call hours as needed.
  • Able to work in a general office environment.
  • Understanding of integration with other SAP Modules in great detail.
